WINTER TREES Roaming in the Gloaming by Moo

This is a long story so put your feet up and have a cup of tea. I had planned all week to go out shooting on Friday. I intended going to Castle Park in Colchester because it is nice and hilly and they have some great huge specimens there. I thought the hills would be better than sky. Also I wanted to do some shopping. Friday came and it poured of rain all day so I was stuck in doors. The rain cleared about 4 o'clock so I quickly went out as the sky was looking impressive. Already it was getting dark. By the time I took these two it was so dark and tut tu I didn't take my tripod. So I upped the ISO by this time to about 500.

The track you can see here is actually part of a runway they used to use in the war when there was an american air base in Messing. The girls in Messing had a really good war!

OOOOh, OH! Phooey O wrote a really long comment about how much I loved this picture, especially the second one and how cool it was and the sad and happy story you told and then the computer ate it. WANH.

I love that second picture. The first one may need a little adjustment?

Maybe the 2nd one was not a good choice. There is nothing I can do with the black - it is all gone - kerput. Do you mean copping?

the second photo is really well taken. it captures a post-rain setting quite well. i love the little light at the far background, sun coming out through the clouds again, maybe.
oh, and interesting story too. :-)
