Rough Smudge Painting: Geraldine Neely, 1975
Geraldine Neely, 1975, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. This is a rough smudge painting for a book I am working on. The picture I started with was minuscule. Literally. I was not attempting to make it smooth. The top one I redid parts of and added more clothing at the bottom.

If that is what you started on - that wee little postage stamp then that is amazing. I like her outfit! I like her friendly face too. Would love to know what it is all about.
This is ALSO hand-colored from a black and white!
Yup, that teeny photo is what I started from. I would be HAPPY to tell you more about the project--this is for that poetry book I am working on.
A prose poem from my MS, very slightly altered by editor Mike Serafin.
Another of the poems, also somewhat altered. If you are interested, I will send the original, unaltered versions.
A poem from my new manuscript
It's not what looks like a normal poem, it's a cross-genre work.
These are random ones that happen to be online already, but if you want to see them in a better state, let me know.
I'm going to save these for a moment when I havn't got brain ache Mary!
