SMUDGE PAINTING by MOO

STAR ANISE These were part of a christmas present of dried fruit and other vegetation which came in a big tall glass jar - the one I used to put the ice in. I took lots of macro pics of the fruit but wasn't really happy. Figured I couldn't lose by giving the smudge painting a go. But though I am not keen on the original it is still better than after my feeble attempts.

It needs a little more work. I think with a little work it would be good. You can make it look more in ocus by smudging up to the edge of a blurry area. Maybe I can make a tutorial. If I have time.

Do you mean make a selection and then smudege up to it. I can't draw the lines any smoother with my mouse!

I like this--you just quit too soon . . . ?

I tried again but I should have started with YOURS rather than the original.

I like YOURs better than mine!!!

I think you could do more with this painting, Kate, it has great potential.

Oh dear - sorry I seem to have got stuck into a few other things. Some boring. Plus have been spending quite a bit of time on my foggy morning pics. Have posted some to BP. I could put a couple of them into our Sep orton effect. Might save them though. Don't like to get that far ahead! Just started another course on BP by Tony Sweet on my new camera. Thought I might as well try to get as much out of the camera as I could being as it cost so much money. Only had the first lesson yesterday.
