Mystic Messing Morn
This top one is in Pods Wood. I like these twisted trunks which must at some stage have been pollarded but now just left to grow high.
Coney Field Wood which is the wood closest to my house and this is the first bit I get to in the mornings. So my sunrises are usually taken here if I get out early enough.
I have put both these shots on BP in colour.

Actually, for BP, I think in the top one I cloned out the branch laying on the ground as it is a bit distracting. This must also be before I ortanised it.
Very pretty, they are wonderful in Black and white. Love the spooky misty feel to them.
oops, I forget to have follow-ups mailed to me so here I go now.
These are super. :-D
have you ever seen the "legend of sleepy hollow"? where the headless horseman rides thro the woods? these are the woods......
Presumably he rides through at night so I might not catch him on camera. Guess I need a real infrared camera! Could be a bit spooky out there waiting for him though?
Ha ha, you guys are a riot, but you know what--/ --I was thinking the same thing! :-D
I really love these pictures!
amazing!
this surely is a very mystic scene. However I'd like to see the colors .. i wonder how the hues formed coming through the trees and dew (if present)
Thank you folk for your comments. Nabeel you can see both images in full colour on my BP Gallery

this is great!
Thanks Felix
I really do love these!
I got a 10 for both of these images at CPS. But the Hooded Huntsman one was in colour. I made good use of Val's Hooded Huntsman description by calling it "The Hooded Huntsman waits till Dawn". The lower one was actually cropped off the l/h edge to make the big tree trunk frame the pic.
YAY! Congratulations! You deserved a ten! They are really nice! :-D
