SCILLY CHURCH

Detail of the lamps.

The inside of the church taken at an angle as I didn't like the straight shot.

This is the church on the island of Bryher in the Scilly Islands. There has been a series on tele called Island Parish about the priest who has to cover all the churches and travel by boat to them. Unfortunately the Sunday we were there there was no service - it is only once a fortnight but we did instead do a litter pick to help the islanders as they had suffered a hurricane last winter and there was rubbish all around the coastline that had come in from the sea. Plastic bottles, fishing rope, rope, plastic drips for hospitals -hundreds, thousands even of them that had come from a shipwreck. We figured every visitor needed to help them as there was far too much for the islanders to manage.

I love it. Nice pictures.

I see you have more, but I am way behind! I will come back as soon as I can.

Sweet!
