Spring Awakenings
This is one of those twisted willow trees. Still very new in tree years - about 5 years old. It was planted in Don's paddock on top of their dog's grave.
Blossom in Don's paddock nextdoor. Actually I took this on 21st February. The blossom on this tree is all gone now but there is plenty of other blossom around. I think this is a wild cherry but none too sure.
how lovely, this twisted willow tree is something I have mever seen, must be unique to the UK. and blossoms in february, how lucky and lovely..... look a bit like apple blossoms.
It's not a native tree. I assume it is only something they have developed horticulturally - maybe from one that had started going a bit twisted! I never know what that sort of blossom is. There is never any fruit on the tree. Maybe it is just a flowering cherry that never has cherries. Thought I think they are pink.
