Blue: The Listener

This is an ordinary shell on the beach which is zoom blurred and
layered using soft light over the unblurred same image.

Love it! This one works real well Mary. It kind of reminds me of space though I know it is the wrong shape. Actually you can also see a skull being zoomed off into space. I don't understand how you got the fragments in the blue background. Presumably they were in the shell. I would never have guessed it was the same image.

Just been going through deleting my old emails and came across this one again. I couldn't have had my brain in sync as I hadn't read the title. Yes it does look like an ear but also a skull!

THANKS!

It does sort of look like a skull.

The fragments were a lucky accident of the layer process--they were particles of sand that were a different color than the rest of the sand.

I love playing with layer blending--you get very interesting effects.

I was going to post this to BP but have been so busy I never did.
