See what I mean?
If I have time, I want to play with this.
Yours is so fine.

But this is lovely. I like the diagonal comp and the brilliance of the yellow against the black.
The highlights might be a bit burnt out and in fact that doesn't bother me but I was just wondering if you ever do what I do with burnt out highlights. I pick the colour and brush it in on about 25%or less. They always go on about burnt out highlights and their opposite with shadows in comps at CPS>
I actually did add some yellow to this, but I kind of liked the touch a light there. Maybe I should have filled it a little more.
The leaves are a bit chaotic looking from cross shadows.
But THANKS--yours is just SO NICE!
I like blacks in pictures, but I guess some color in them is supposedly better. But if the detail is confusing or messy, better not to have it.
It is nice to seem some context of where the lily is situated but I agree the shadows make it somewhat confusing. I hardly had anything in my scilly lilies and found it better to just keep it simple.
Yours is clearly better.
I could probably improve mine with some photoshop work, if I ever have time. (I didn't work on it in photoshop).
