Historical Houses: Robert Frost House
Robert Frost House, Greenfield Village. I had to take this through Glass and I do not have time to "clean it up." But I like it anyway.
Maybe no castles but these are more pleasant to walk around. This is very nice. Lovely pinks. I visit a lot of these places when I meet up with my reunion gals. Our next visit though is to the Houses of Parliament. Ting is going to arrange it with her MP. I doub they will allow pictures though.
All the houses in Greenfield Village are the ORIGINAL houses, taken apart piece by piece and put back together in situo. Or--so they claim--I believe it because I've seen some being reassembled.
They are not, however, in their original location, and the furnishings are not always a original.
Castles are so exciting.
I'd love to see the original places you go to. :-D
Well if I did know that I have since forgotten. That is interesting isn't it. Quite a task but a good idea I guess so that you can see them all together in one place.
we have a castle in Toronto, called Castle Loma, don't know the history, but banquets are held there, I think with enough money you can have a wedding reception there. But I don't know the history. But lovely all the same, although not as big as the English castles.

Just to make you "WAHN" I thought I'd mention that the houses we walk around are original!!!

All the buildings are authentic, but the Village of course is not--still--it is so interesting to visit.
They tell you at each place what's authentic and what's not--eg--if they weren't able to get the original furniture, they tell you.
