Top one is a very difficult shot to capture perfectly. But it's as very typical seaside scene though I assume this is lakeside. Big lakeside. Looks like the sun is low. Nice focus on the eyes of the lower bird.

I like the activity of the top one. I found the lower bird looked faded, less colour, I know it is later in evening, just a comment.

Actually, I chose for it to be dark--it was against some dark sky and I liked it that way because it was different than the normal ones. I could make it lighter but then we'd lose the detail in the feathers if the belly.

Yah, that's Lake Superior, actually. Biggest lake in the world, I think,

But I respect your opinion--everyone doesn't have to like the same things and I was just playing with it for darkness.

It looks better if you click on it so you can see the detail, I think--it does look faded small in particular.

But whatever.

Also, I'm working on a very bright monitor--My other monitor, right next to it, is much darker. That makes it confusing when adjusting a picture--you don't know how it will look on someone else's monitor.

Wow, the top one is verrryyy impressive! I love the blues. Great shot. I like the bottom one, also, but the composition is a little awkward, I think there's too much room on the left.
I wish I could capture birds like this... I love birds. :)
