Historical Castles

KING CHARLES CASTLE
ISLES OF SCILLY
From the outside looking in and even through to the other side. King Charles' Castle on the top of the hill. The one that was abandoned and rebuilt as Cromwell's Castle closer to the shore.

Just found this one on the edit page as a draft so that is why I am only just posting it from way back in April.

Don't suppose you could provide the camera info on this one Kate Lens, Aperture etc., I have tried something similar but can never get the same clarity from beginning to end. Did you do much post-production ? - hmmm April hope I am not asking too much.

That's another advantage of digital it saves all the Exif Data. I used f14 at 200th sec. The worst thing about this was that for about 3-4 days when we were in the Scillies I'd left my ISO on 1600 from one evening when I was taking a sunset. Didn't realise it until the day before we came home. So this was at ISO 1600. I suppose in theory if I'd used a smaller fstop at f22 the further walls might have been more in focus but I guess even so that focussing so close as I did to the front walls that they would still have been out somewhat. I reckon to get it perfect you would have to take two, focussing once on the near wall and once on the inside walls and combine them in PS which shouldn't be difficult with the straight lines. You'd need a tripod for that though and I didn't take one with me to the Scillies. We were too restricted on weight using the light aircraft that has to land there.
